Dominick Cristo

Cristo, Dominick age 68 of Boca Raton, FL formerly of Wantage, NJ died peacefully at his home on Friday April 3rd, 2009.  Born in Newark, NJ he had lived in Montville for many years before moving to Wantage in 1974 where he had lived until moving to Boca Raton, FL in 2000.Son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Mazzella) Cristo, Dominick was graduated from the Newark Vocational HS later receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Newark State College.  Dominick also earned his masters degree in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University. Mr. Cristo had worked as an Educator and Administrator for over 33 years with the Kinnelon Board of Education until his retirement in 1995.Mr. Cristo was a long time member of the Lafayette Federated Church.  Dominick and his wife Eloise were professional ballroom dancers who performed all over the world on cruise ships.  Dominick was a devoted husband and father who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife of forty five years Eloise (Nero), his son Nicholas and his wife Patricia Cristo of Hopatcong, NJ.  Dominick is also survived by his three brothers, Anthony Cristo of NC, Joseph Cristo of CA and Sylvester Cristo of CN as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dominick are private and under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton, NJ.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials to the ALS Association Florida Chapter: c/o Dara Alexander, 3242 Parkside Central, Tampa, FL  33619.
