Lorraine V. Dalland

Dalland, Lorraine V. age 83 of Dover died Wednesday March 4th, 2009 in Dover, NJ. Born in Oceanside Long Island, Lorraine was a 5th generation settler, grew up and lived there for many years before moving to Wantagh, NY. In 1956 she relocated to Dover where she has lived since.             Daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred (Story) Valverde, Mrs. Dalland was a Graduate of the Oceanside High School class of 1942. She was a Homemaker, as well as a member of the Founders Baptist Church Dover. Lorraine taught Sunday School at both Founders Baptist and the First Baptist Church of Rockaway for many years. She was an active member of the Dover Drum and Bugle Corps Women’s Aux. where she participated in the 1964 Worlds Fair.             Pre Deceased by her husband the late Harold C. Dalland in 2005, as well as her sisters Jean Mushaney and Oralee Tedder, she is survived by her sons Richard C. of Dover and Bruce C. of Oveido, FL. Also her Step Brother David Croome of Rockingham, NC, her step sisters Lois Adrienns of Rockingham and Barbara of Ft. Bennings, GA. Lorraine is also survived by her three grandchildren and her three great grandchildren.             Funeral Services will be held Monday March 9th, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home at 1 Baker Ave., (Rt. 46) Dover NJ 07801. Interment services will be private. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Sunday March 8th, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
