| Edward Graham "Butch" VanGieson VanGieson, Edward Graham “Butch” age 70 of Montague, NJ died Thursday December 31st, 2009 at the Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in East Orange, NJ he summered and grew up in Montague, as well has lived most of his life there. Son of the late Dr. Edward John and Elizabeth Grace (Miller) VanGieson, Edward had worked many years as a truck driver for the Sussex County Road Dept., until his retirement in 1991. A long time member of the Sandyston Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept., he was also a former member and past Chief of the Montague Volunteer Fire Dpt. An avid hunter and member of the Montague Hunting Club, Edward will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his beloved friends Deborah R. and husband Edward Wilson, Brandon, Kyle, and Nathan Wilson all of Sandyston Twp., James Gummerson of Montague and Alan Delea of Sandyston Twp. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 5th, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ 07860. Interment will follow in the Hainesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday January 4th from 6 to 9PM in the Funeral Home. |

In my short time of knowing Butchie,(2months) he shared many of his stories with me. His life was full of fun and passion from what he told. He will be missed by many and remembered by all! Go with God Butchie! And tell us some more stories from above!!!

I new Butch from 69 two 2009.We had a lot of good times when we were together.He was a fine person.I am sorry his sister@famly broke us up.I will miss him very much.Rest in peace now.I will be looking fore to seeing soon.Love you.

We will always remember MR Butch and taking him up to the Wayne County Fair. Cj enjoyed th day with you .Laura and Terry, Kyle and Kesley and I enjoyed seeing you have fun .....I finally know you are pain free looking down on all of you now.
