Albert E. Horomanski

Horomanski, Albert E. age 96 of Lafayette Twp., NJ died peacefully Thursday July 31, 2008 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Paterson, he had resided many years in Prospect Park before moving to the Crestwood Village section of Whiting. In February 2008 Mr. Horomanski moved to Lafayette.       Son of the late Adolph and Helena (Dambrowska) Horomanski, Albert was a US Army Veteran serving from 1943 to 1946 in the Allusion Islands as a T-5. He was one of six brothers to have served during WWII, all whom returned home safely at the end of the War, receiving a six star flag and awards ceremony from the US Military. A retired Paterson Fire Department Captain for many years, Mr. Horomanski retired in the late 1970’s. During his retirement in Crestwood Village, he was an active member of the Senior Citizens, participating in many activities such as dancing, bowling as well as a bocce champion.       A devout parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church Franklin, he was also a former parishioner and usher with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church in Whiting. Pre deceased by his wife of fifty four years Irma (Geldsetzer) in 1997 as well as his five brothers and one sister, he is survived by his daughter Beverly I. and her husband Joseph A. Pallay Jr. of Lafayette, NJ, his grandchildren, Joseph A. III and his wife Darlene Pallay, Beverly and her husband Richard Johnson , Debra and her husband Steve Oberle and Jennifer Pallay, also survived by his great grandchildren, Joseph IV and William Pallay, Rebecca and Victoria Johnson, Stephen, Aidan and Milena Oberle and Brooke and Ethan Munoz.                 A memorial funeral Mass will be held Wednesday August 6th, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave. Newton, NJ 07860.
