Anna Stepongzi

Stepongzi, Anna age 86 formerly of Stillwater, NJ died peacefully at the Morristown Memorial Hospital Monday January 11, 2010. Born in Jersey City, NJ she had lived most of her life in Stillwater, NJ.             Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Agurkis) Stepongzi, she was a Newton High School Graduate Class of 1941. Following High School she joined the US Army and served as a Decoding Officer during WWII, and had continued to serve for over twenty years. After her military career, Anna was the operator of the Family Gas Station on Rt. 94 in Fredon Twp., NJ for many years.             Pre Deceased by her brothers Albert, John and Frank Stepongzi, as well as her sister Mary Cornwell. Survivors include her sister in law Tina Stepongzi of Fredon Twp., NJ.                Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 16th, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Yellow Frame Cemetery Frelinghauysen Twp., NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt206) Newton, NJ. Online condolences may be offered through www.iliff-ruggierofuneralhome.com
