Mildred Lisi

Lisi, Mildred age 84 of Newton died Monday December 7, 2009 in the Newton Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she had lived in Somerville for many years before retiring to Boynton Beach, FL where she lived for thirty years, moving to Newton in 2006. Daughter of the late Alexander and Madeline (Polce) Peconi, Mildred was a graduate of PS 131 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A parishioner of the St. Mark’s RC Church in Boynton Beach, FL Mrs. Lisi enjoyed cooking, Knitting, Scrabble and crosswords, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Pre deceased by her husband the late Frank Lisi in 1993, Mildred is survived by her son Stephen of Loxahatchee, FL, her daughter Valerie Tienken of Newton, her sister Margarite Barbati of Whitehouse, NJ, her four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday December 11th, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the St. Joseph RC Church Newton, NJ. Interment services will be held in Florida at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton, NJ
