 George Charles Streisguth, 87, of Fredon Township, died July 30th,2008 in Newton, NJ. Born in Orange, NJ, Mr. Streisguth grew up in Montclair, later living in West Caldwell and East Hanover. Upon retirement, he and his wife Janet, moved to Florida, residing in Boynton Beach and Homosassa. He returned to NJ in 2002, living in Sussex County.  Son of the late George and Anna (Koch) Streisguth, George graduated from Montclair High School in 1939, and obtained a Degree in Marketing from Rutgers University in 1954. Mr. Streisguth was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill. After the war, he returned to his position as a Purchasing Manager for Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Wood-Ridge, NJ retiring in 1984.  George was a past member of the Presbyterian Church of West Caldwell were he served as treasurer for many years. His hobbies included golfing, reading and politics. Mr. Streisguth was pre-deceased by his wife of 49 years, Janet Lorraine (Moeller) Streisguth. Survivors include his daughter Nancy L. Lynch of Fredon Township, and his grand daughters; Kelly Lynch and Sarah Lynch.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, Fredon Township, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main Street, Newton, NJ
