Claire Marks

Marks, Claire E. age 88 of Newton, NJ died peacefully at her home in Bristol Glen, Newton following a long illness. Born in Maplewood, NJ she had resided in North Plainfield and Morris Plains, NJ for many years before moving to Newton six years ago.             Daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Kramer, Claire had worked many years as an executive secretary for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Morristown, NJ. A loving and caring sister, and aunt, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.             Pre deceased by her cherished husband Arnold as well as her two dearly beloved dogs Sandy and Taffy, survivors include her Niece Cindy Potter and great niece Lindsey Mehrkens both of Andover, NJ. Also surviving are her nephews Robert Mehrkens of Andover Borough, and John Mehrkens of Sparta, as well as her sister in law Gladys Mehrkens.   

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main Street, Newton, NJ 07860.  Entombment will immediately follow at the Hollywood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Union, NJ. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, December 4th, 2008 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
